Dye Free Red Jell-O

Simply brand just came out with a new flavor – Fruit Punch! And it’s yummy! Tastes like Hawaiian Punch without the dyes! We used it to make Jell-O and my kids loved it! We topped with whip cream too. Natural By Nature from Whole Foods or Soyatoo Rice Whip for dairy free.

1 envelope of Knox unflavored gelatin (at any grocery store by the Jell-O)
2 cups of fruit juice

Soften gelatin in 1/2 cup of fruit juice. Put remaining 1 1/2 cups of juice into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add softened gelatin, stirring until completely dissolved. Pour into Jell-O molds or cups. Chill in the fridge until firm. Makes about 4 servings.

  1. Is this recipe good to make "Knox Blox" type Jello or should more gelatin be added to make it more firm? I am so glad I stumbled across this blog! Thanks!

  2. Hi! You would need to add at least one more packet of gelatin for jigglers, maybe even two more. I've not tried it yet. Let me know if you try it and how it turns out!

    • No it would be stage two but Simply Fruit Punch has not been approved by Feingold yet. The lemonade and a few other varieties are. No one’s really sure why. It may not have been submitted for approval yet.
