All Natural Moms Retreat!

Do you need a break? Don’t we all?! Calling all the all natural mamas! This retreat is for YOU! Relax on a 3-night cruise to the Bahamas on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines out of Miami this July, 2017. All meals included! Do you know what that means? No cooking for 4 days! Someone else will serve YOU!

Spend a weekend with me and other like-minded moms! Cost is around $429 per person, double occupancy (plus taxes and fees). This is a great rate when you consider what you would pay for a hotel for 3 nights and all your meals and entertainment. The cruise stops at a private island in CocoCay in the Bahamas.

All bookings will go through Larissa Boland, a fellow Feingold mom and travel agent. There is no additional fee for booking through Larissa. She will just ensure that all of our rooms are near each other and will take care of all the details for us, including answering any questions you may have about the cruise, and trying to get us good rates. If you want an ocean view or balcony room, please check with Larissa for pricing.

Everyone will book airfare on their own, or arrange for travel there if you live close enough to drive. If you need help booking airfare, Larissa can do that as well. Some people may have frequent flyer miles they can use from their credit card. I just got an American Airlines Citibank credit card this year. The first year’s annual fee is waived and I got 40,000 miles free just for signing up. I had to put at least $1,000 on the card in the first three months in order to earn these miles. Other perks – I get free baggage for up to 4 people each trip. This saves me a ton! Otherwise, I’d be paying $70 for each person’s luggage round trip (times 4 equals $280). And for some reason, sometimes they give me a $100 credit on my credit card statement when I book my airfare through American on my card. So for us, the annual fee next year will be worth it since we travel at least once a year. But, look at the guidelines as each credit card is different and promotions change from time to time. Capitol One is another credit card that has some good perks.

Food allergies? No problem! Cruises are usually really good about food allergies. Just let them know what foods or ingredients you avoid.

How to pay? You can put down a $100 deposit now to reserve your room through Larissa, and then pay the rest by April 23rd. Deposits are refundable up until April 23rd. Rooms must be booked by February 20th to ensure availability of rooms.

Insurance is also available for a small fee if you’re nervous you may have to cancel at the last minute because of a sick child or if something comes up at the last minute.

Want to bring your spouse or family? That’s up to you! I’m not a rule person so anything goes! 🙂 But I know for me, when my family goes, it no longer becomes a relaxing vacation! 😉 Feel free to invite any friends as well! The more the merrier! They don’t have to be all natural mamas either. We can convert them!

It’s basically an opportunity for us moms who work tirelessly every day to get away and have fun with other moms. We deserve a break once in a while! It also happens to be my birthday that weekend, and maybe I just wanted to throw a big party! 🙂

I’m also going to offer short training sessions for anyone interested. These are totally voluntary and will be offered for a small fee. These will be informal but chalk full of helpful information. Topics will be announced soon but I am open to customizing sessions to whatever moms want to discuss.

Potential topics include the Feingold Diet, the GFCF diet, how to treat yeast/candida, biomed (what is it and how to get started), how to treat leaky gut, supplements for ADHD, autism, and anxiety, etc. Basically anything I cover on my blog is open for discussion! The training sessions will likely be 1-2 hours in length and I will have materials to hand out as well. It will basically be kind of a round table discussion where I will cover a topic in detail and be able to answer your individual questions.  Cost will be $25 for group sessions. A private session on the retreat will be $50. (FYI – my normal consulting fees are $75 an hour for one-on-one phone consults. See here for more details if you aren’t able to make the retreat but wish to set up a phone consult.)

The other reason for offering training sessions is so you have a good reason to go! Tell your hubby and kids you need to go so you can learn more on how to help them. 🙂 As well, if you are able to write off things for tax purposes (medically necessary diets, etc.), you might be able to write this off as well (check with your tax accountant).

If you are interested or want to learn more, I’ve created a Facebook group here with a full itinerary and details of the trip. Rates are based on double occupancy (two twin beds per room). We can help people pair up if you need a roommate. This will be done on our Facebook group. We have set aside a certain number of rooms, so if you’re interested, please let us know as soon as possible!

Hope to see you in paradise! And bring a friend or two! The world needs more all natural moms! 🙂

    • Hi Rachael! There is still room. You’d have to contact Larissa Boland. She can book you through tomorrow. After that, you’d have to contact Royal Carribbean directly and see if there’s still availability.
